In the Morning LORD, you Hear My Voice

This morning I decided to step outside to sit under the umbrella before the 100 degree temps arrived.

It was quiet in the neighborhood as I opened up my book to continue an 8 week study on the book of Philippians.

This study surprised me as I finished the final day of week one. I thought this was a simple study. Instead I found myself deeply pondering the truths of Philippians and Jesus Christ.

Paul's writings are consistent in pointing us back to the truths of Jesus Christ. He assists us in keeping Christ at the center. Tomorrow I begin week 2 of this profound book.

I finished my time under the umbrella in Psalm 20. After reading through Psalm 20, I returned to verse one and prayed my way through.

God speaks to us in the simplicity of his word in deep ways, if we are willing to stop and listen as we read.

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice, in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3, NIV

More to come from Southern California.
