When The Opposition Crumbles

When I travel one of my favorite beverages is sparkling water with lime. When on a plane you will find me sipping my refreshing sparkling water, reading or writing.. I enjoy traveling even when I am traveling for work. Although airports are stressful these days, I am relaxed even if I am standing in a long line.

Lately I find my home base location is a very stressful place for me. When I leave it lifts, because I am no longer standing in the middle of opposition.

The opposition exists, because of my refusal to place the organization I lead underneath the accountability of another organization.

It seems a few organizations in my home base have blinders on and do not realize I am not part of another organization, because The Relationship Project is an organization and it is lead by me.

We are not a denomination and we are not a church, The Relationship Project partners with many different organizations, denominations, and churches, I lead a conference on relationships and go where I am invited. I write books, disciple online, and use various forms of videos and podcasts.

There is no reason to place an existing organization within another organization. The most difficult struggle for me is not one leader of any of the opposing organizations ever asked me to sit down with them and allow me to share our vision in detail.

Today, I began week 2 of my study in the book of Philippians. The Apostle Paul lived his life in the middle of constant opposition.

The gospel of Jesus Christ was not accepted by all. We find Paul in Prison, because he would not back down. This encouraged others to do the same.

Philippians 1:13-14; For everyone here, including all the soldiers in the palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ. And because of my imprisonment, many of the Christians here have gained confidence and become more bold in telling others about Christ. (NLT)

There will come a day when the opposition against those speaking and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ will crumble. Until the day arrives we must press on in the middle of opposition. This includes when the opposition is coming from friendly fire.

Philippians 3:14; I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God through Jesus Christ is calling us up to heaven. (NLT)

Let's run this race together. We must not quit.
